At least 33 people were killed and dozens injured, according to the Ministry of Health, after airstrikes hit Gaza City today, just metres from an MSF clinic. Our teams stabilised 28 patients, who were transferred to Al-Shifa hospital. Two MSF staff members were injured.

This is the third mass casualty incident managed by our teams in a day in Gaza. Last night, it happened twice from 7-11PM, with 50 patients brought to the MSF field hospital in Deir Al Balah, of which 27 were admitted; three are in intensive care; nine underwent surgery.

Additionally, 96 patients were brought to the emergency room at Al Aqsa, a hospital supported by MSF in Deir Al Balah, during the night, and another 30 arrived dead, according to the Ministry of Health, after air strikes in the area.

Palestinians are being killed and wounded en masse as Israeli forces intensify their attacks across the Strip. The lack of accountability is shocking,” says Claire Manera, MSF emergency coordinator in Gaza. “We are running out of words as more lives are crushed every day.”

Since 2 March, no aid has entered the Gaza Strip due to a decision by the Israeli authorities. MSF is running low on essential supplies and fuel needed to sustain its medical response, while the number of critically injured patients continues to rise.
