Applying for a Position
All vacancies are advertised on our website. To apply, you just need to send an email!
What to Include in your Application
To apply, you just need to send an email with the reference number of the job offer. Your application must include the following:
- Up-to-date CV (essential)
- Letter of motivation (essential)
- Answers to any questions specified (if applicable)
Please combine these items into one document before uploading it as part of your application.
If you are subsequently employed by MSF UAE it may be retained in your personnel file. All information will be held in the strictest confidence.
Please ensure that you meet the application deadline as we won’t accept your application if it’s submitted after the deadline.
Letter of Motivation
Your letter of motivation is the most important part of your application. In your letter, you should draw particular attention to relevant experience, skills, and knowledge gained in past employment or other activities to demonstrate how you meet the essential and, if applicable, desirable criteria necessary to meet the requirements of this job.
These are outlined in the person specification part of the job description. You may want to use these criteria as headings to demonstrate how you meet them, for example, by giving specific examples of your achievements and contribution.
The letter of motivation is also an opportunity for you to explain why you are considering a position with MSF in particular.
Please ensure your letter of motivation is no more than two pages long (two sides of A4).

What you Can Expect From Us
You will receive an automatic email to confirm receipt of your application.
All applications submitted within the closing date are reviewed by the shortlisting panel shortly after the closing date. If you have not heard from us within two weeks of the closing date, then please assume that you have not been successful on this occasion.
After the interviews and on confirmed acceptance of the job by the successful candidate, we will contact all applicants to notify them of the outcome of their application.
Due to high volume of applications MSF UAE will not be able to provide feedback on your application should you be unsuccessful at shortlisting stage.
Shortlisting and Interviews
If you are shortlisted for interview you will receive an email from the HR team giving you the good news and offering you an interview date and time, as well as any specific information about the format of the interview and if there will be any tests before or as part of the interview.
We aim to be flexible where possible when it comes to scheduling of interviews but also ask for flexibility from candidates. We may be able to offer you a Skype interview if you’re unable to attend in person.
If you have any special requirements for your interview please make them known at the time you are offered an interview so we can accommodate you as much as possible.
Interviews
At the interview we are interested in finding out about your understanding of MSF, your motivation to join MSF, and how your skills and experience match the job and person specifications.
Your interview may include tests, and you’ll be advised of this when we contact you to invite you to interview. Tests are included to assess your ability to carry out relevant tasks and/or to see how you respond to relevant organisational challenges.
Typically,it’s a two rounds recruitment process: first one is generally much more a discussion to get to know you better, personality wise, and the second round is usually more focus on technical skills and could include assessment. We are not only looking for skills but of course also for a good fit in a team.
We aim to respond to candidates within one week of your interview to let you know whether we’ll be progressing with your application.
After the Interview
If you’ve been successful, we will contact you to congratulate you on your achievement to date and extend our offer of the job to you.
The offer will be conditional upon us receiving job references that are satisfactory to us and on you providing us with proof of your eligibility to work in the UAE. Once the above is all confirmed, we will contact you again to discuss the start date.
We will then look forward to welcoming you to MSF UAE.

We ask you to provide the names of professional referees, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
You should always check in advance that your referees are happy to be contacted before giving out their details.
Eligibility to Work in the UAE
MSF will arrange work permit and residence visa process. In any case, your employment is confirmed only once we receive all the positive answers from the UAE labour and immigration departments.
