On 1 August 2018, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) declared an outbreak of Ebola in the northeast. We knew we had to act fast – Ebola is extremely infectious and can kill up to 90% of people who catch it.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) had the staff, the resources, and the expertise to respond to the deadly virus because of supporters like you. We treated 80% of the cases admitted to our treatment centres within the first month.
